Privacy Policy

C34 Technologies, Inc. ("C34," "we," "us," or "our") operates the STEIV platform (steiv.ai), including the STEIV dashboard, APIs, AI assistants, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and billing information.

Business Data. Information you provide to configure your AI assistant, including knowledge base articles, business hours, service descriptions, pricing, and staff details.

Conversation Data. Messages exchanged between your customers and the STEIV AI assistant via chat, SMS, or voice, including transcripts and call recordings where enabled.

Social Media Data. When you connect social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, LinkedIn, TikTok), we store OAuth tokens and basic profile information necessary to publish content on your behalf. We do not access your personal social media messages or private content.

Calendar Data. When you connect calendar services (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Calendly), we access availability information to enable appointment scheduling. We do not read or store the content of unrelated calendar events.

Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including IP addresses, browser type, pages viewed, features used, and timestamps.

Customer Interaction Data. Information about your customers who interact with the STEIV AI assistant, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and inquiry details provided during conversations.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Power AI-driven customer service responses using your knowledge base
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendar integrations
  • Publish social media content you have reviewed and approved
  • Send transactional communications (password resets, notifications, alerts)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI and Data Processing

STEIV uses AI language models (currently Azure OpenAI) to generate responses to customer inquiries based on your knowledge base. Customer messages are sent to the AI model for processing and are not used to train third-party AI models. We retain conversation data to provide conversation history, analytics, and quality improvement for your account.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers. We use third-party services to operate the platform, including Microsoft Azure (hosting, AI, storage), Twilio (voice and SMS), Stripe (payments), and SendGrid (email). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
  • Social Media Platforms. When you authorize us to post content, we transmit that content to the connected platform (Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok) via their APIs.
  • Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.
  • Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Conversation data is retained for up to 24 months to provide analytics and history. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon account termination, we delete your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, row-level security for tenant data isolation, and regular security assessments. OAuth tokens are encrypted before storage. Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of certain data processing
  • Disconnect social media or calendar integrations at any time
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Cookies

The STEIV dashboard uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Data Transfers

The Service is hosted in the United States (Microsoft Azure, East US 2 region). If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
